Martial Art is Meditation – Part 1

In martial arts, movements and strikes are often guided by three principles: points, lines, and planes.

Planes represent the range of motion and the use of the body.

Lines refer to the distance and gap between oneself and the opponent, as well as the trajectory of movements—how to minimize unnecessary effort while optimizing efficiency.

Points are the specific areas where energy is concentrated or where a strike lands.

The objective of traditional martial arts, guided by these principles, is clear: to execute precise and efficient actions that minimize effort while maximizing impact, ultimately aiming to subdue an opponent’s body.

But what happens if that opponent is not external, but internal—my own mind?

In this case, we must rethink and take an entirely new approach.
