Meditation with Moon

Like sun, moon can also serve as our closest meditation guide.

There are moments while walking down the street or gazing out the window at night when the moon is visible.

Let’s make it a habit to consider encountering the moon as a signal to begin meditation.

Then, we can cultivate the habit of meditating right there on the spot.

The most recommended meditation upon seeing the moon is simply visual meditation, gazing at the moon.

You can meditate with the moon from the new moon to the full moon, and from the full moon to the last quarter, spanning the entire month.

You can also observe the changing rising and setting positions of the moon as its shape evolves.

Additionally, encountering clouds adds beauty and intrigue to the changing moonlight.

Simply gazing at the moon in the sky becomes a meditation of observing ‘change’ itself.
